I’m really unhappy that I have paid £83 for a call out for Carlton to look at my oven and then he tells me that the parts will be available within 3-5 days however 3 weeks later no items. As the have to order parts from SMEG, they have no delivery date. Carlton doesn’t answer the phone or reply to text messages. I’m so disappointed. His colleague wa Glenn was also called out to fix my microwave and I was charge £93.50, not sure why the difference in price again extremely rude and didn’t even give me a report to provide smeg. This has been very hard for me as my parents rely on these being in their late ages they have struggles for the last couple months due to this!
Absolutely shambolic company, and no idea why my insurer would suggest using them, especially given their Google reviews (which I have only just discovered). They broke the replacement switch whilst they were trying to fix it, but then tried to say that it was broken when they received it. When my wife pointed out that they had previously said they did it they backtracked and said that she was lying. Clearly this mirrors many of the stories in the Google reviews. They only get one star because there is no option for zero stars!
Don’t fully understand the negative reviews. I found that Carlton showed up when he said he would, gave good advice and helped us sort out a tricky problem with our smeg dishwasher. Happy to recommend. Not 5* because his office was occasionally slow to return a call.
DO NOT USE!!! I dont usually leave reviews but this was a terrible experience. Absolute crooks! SMEG sent them for a warranty repair and they wasted our time saying I had to get the dishwasher out my self so they could look at it! Surely as the engineer that would be Carltons job! What a waste of our time! We have now been sent a new company that will hopefully help us.
Disgusting.
The guy came for 5 minutes and said he needed to order a new part. I paid £120 for the part which he said would take 1 to 2 days and he would be back to install it. It has been over 2 weeks and I have called repeatedly and left messages with no response.
They are complete scammers. They don’t respond.
My dishwasher is still broken.
Just looked up the reviews and like everyone else wish I’d come here first. Was given their number my SMEG. Gave them a description of the problem and was told that repair would be £110 per hour. The guy came out, was at the house 10 minutes diagnosed what I’d already told him, said he’d speak to SMEG and get me another quote, charged over £100 just for that and now I can’t get hold of him.. it would seem this is a scamming business
