Yes, you are absolutely fine to cook cauliflower rice on the stove, in fact we find it tastes much better boiled than microwaved. 

Cauliflower rice is made of cauliflower, and so the only thing you need to watch out for is that you don’t overcook it and ruin it’s texture (and even if you do, it will still be safe to eat).

How To Cook Cauliflower Rice On The Hob (Stove) By Boiling It

To cook cauliflower rice on the hob, you will need a hob, pan, kettle and sieve. 

  • Boil the kettle

    Fill your kettle around halfway or however much water you’ll need to cover the cauliflower rice in your pan
  • Empty the cauliflower rice into a pan

    Cut an opening into the bag and pour the cauliflower rice into the pan. Do not boil the rice in any plastic packaging
  • Pour the water over the cauliflower rice

    Now pour your boiled water over the cauliflower rice, ensuring it is all fully submerged in water
  • Let it simmer for five minutes

    Cook the pan on full heat until it boils and then let the cauliflower rice simmer for five minutes
  • Pour the rice through the sieve

    Now empty out the contents of your pan over the sink through a sieve to remove the water from the rice
