  1. Remove all of the husk and silk from the corn cobs and rinse to remove any dirt.
  2. Depending on the size of the corn cobs and the size of your air fryer’s basket, remove the ends and cut the corn cobs in half.
  3. Arrange the corn in the air fryer basket in a single layer ensuring there is space around each piece.
  4. Air fry at 190 C (380 F) for 8 to 10 minutes turning at around 4 minutes.
  5. Once cooked, remove the corn from the air fryer’s basket (take care, it will be extremely hot) and serve.

Can You Cook Frozen Corn On The Cob In An Air Fryer?

You can cook frozen corn on the cob in an air fryer but it will take longer to prepare and longer to cook too.

All you need to do is follow these steps;

  • Frozen corn on the cob

Method

  1. Take the frozen corn on the cob from the freezer and let it thaw for around 30 minutes.
  2. Then place the corn on the cob in the air fryer’s basket in a single layer ensuring there is space between each corn cob.
  3. Air fry at 190 C (380 F) for 10 to 12 minutes turning at around 6 minutes.
  4. Remove from the basket and serve.

Depending on the make and model of your air fryer, you might need to adjust the timings slightly. You should allow a +/- of 2 minutes or so.

Do You Need To Add Oil When Cooking Corn On The Cob In An Air Fryer?

Some people prefer to add oil when cooking corn on the cob in an air fryer, but it’s not really necessary. Corn will crisp up quite nicely with or without oil. 

So we would say no, you don’t need to add oil when cooking corn on the cob in an air fryer, but you can if you prefer.

If you do decide to use oil we recommend using light olive oil in a mister and you won’t need more than 2 tablespoons for all of your corn cobs.
