Can You Cook Toast In An Air Fryer?

It is easy to cook toast in an air fryer all you need to do is;

  • Preheat the air fryer to 180 C (350 F)
  • Place the slice of bread in the basket
  • Cook for anywhere between 2 to 4 minutes
  • Flip the bread over at the halfway point

Take care that the single slices of bread don’t get blown up towards the heating element by the powerful fan inside the air fryer (this is especially true of very thin bread).

To combat this you can either put a metal rack (if you have one) on top of the bread as it toasts or, another way we have found is to use cocktail sticks to attach 2 slices of bread together side by side.

The combined weight of 2 slices of bread prevented the bread from moving during cooking.

Depending on how toasted you prefer your toast, it will take around 2 minutes to give it a light toasting and 4 minutes to properly toast the bread.
