Soup Maker Recipes – Easy, Healthy & Tasty Soups!

After a while, you’ll get fed up with making the same soup day after day, so here are a few recipes to help create new and tasty soups using your soup maker. These can be made exactly as written or adjusted to suit yourself, there are no hard and fast rules here. Just make the soup that sounds nicest to you.

How To Make Carrot And Coriander Soup In A Soup Maker

This takes around 10 minutes to prepare and around 25 minutes to cook in the soup maker (depending on the model).

Ingredients

To serve 4 you will need:

  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 medium potato peeled and chopped
  • 1lb (450 g) carrots peeled and chopped,
  • 1 teaspoon of ground coriander
  • 1 ½ ounces (50 g) fresh coriander chopped
  • 2 pints (1.2 litres) chicken or vegetable stock

Method

Add all of the ingredients to the soup maker and blend

Add stock and cook for 25 minutes

Serve with a swirl of cream/yoghurt/creme fraiche, and a sprinkle of chopped coriander.

How To Make Mushroom Soup In A Soup Maker

This will take around 5 minutes to prepare and 30 minutes to cook (depending on model).

Ingredients

To serve 4 you will need

  • 1 clove of garlic peeled and crushed
  • 2 medium onions peeled and chopped
  • 1 lb (454 g) of mushrooms
  • 4 tablespoons of single cream
  • 1  ⅓ pint (750 ml) chicken stock 

Method

Place all of the ingredients except the cream into the soup maker not exceeding the full marker.

Select the smooth soup function

Once the cooking cycle has finished add the cream and salt and pepper to taste

Blend until the soup is creamy and serve.

Garnish with a swirl of cream and some chopped parsley

How To Make Vegetable Soup In A Soup Maker

This one will take 30 minutes to cook after around 5 minutes of preparation.

Ingredients

To serve 2 you will need:

  • ½ lb (225g) chopped and peeled vegetables of your choice (carrots, onions, celery, cabbage, tomatoes, etc.)
  • ½ lb (225 g) potatoes peeled and chopped
  • 1 ⅓ pint (750 mi) vegetable stock

Method

Pour the stock into the soup maker, add all the vegetables and potatoes. Be sure not to overfill.

Once the cycle has finished serve in bowls

Garnish with a swirl of cream/yoghurt/creme fraiche and mixed herbs

How To Make Chicken Soup In A Soup Maker

This will take around 5 minutes to prepare and 30 minutes to cook.

Ingredients

To serve 2 you will need:

  • 1 carrot peeled and chopped
  • 1 onion peeled and chopped
  • 4 ounces (100 g) frozen peas
  • 5 ounces (150 g) Cooked skinless chicken shredded 
  • ½ tablespoon thyme chopped
  • 1 ⅓ pint (750 ml) chicken stock

Method

Place the carrot, onion, thyme, frozen peas and chicken stock into the soup maker

Select the chunky soup function

Once the soup maker is finished add the chicken and stir.

Leave for 2 minutes for the chicken to warm, season to taste and pour into the serving bowls

Garnish with a swirl of cream/creme fraiche/yoghurt

How To Make Tomato Soup In A Soup Maker

To make this low calorie, low-fat soup will take around 30 minutes to cook with 5 minutes preparation time.

Ingredients

To make enough tomato soup for 2 people you will need:

  • 1lb (454 g) Fresh, ripe tomatoes cut into quarters
  • 1 small carrot peeled and chopped
  • 1 small onion peeled and chopped
  • 1 small celery stick chopped
  • ¾ pint (450 ml) vegetable stock
  • 1 teaspoon of tomato puree

Method

Place all of the ingredients into the soup maker

Select the smooth soup function

When finished add salt and pepper, 

If you like tomato soup that is sweeter, add some sugar and taste at this point.

If it’s not as deep red as you like, add some more tomato puree.

How To Make Leek And Potato Soup In A Soup Maker

To make this mouth-watering, heartwarming soup you’ll need 5 minutes preparation and 30 minutes cook time.

Ingredients

To serve 2 you will need:

  • ½ lb (225 g) peeled and chopped potatoes
  • 1 large leek washed and sliced
  • 1 small onion peeled and chopped
  • 10 fluid ounces (60 ml) of milk
  • 10 fluid ounces ( 60 ml) of double cream or whipping cream
  • ¾ pint (450 ml) vegetable or chicken stock

Method

Place all of the ingredients except the milk and cream into the soup maker

Select the smooth soup function.

Once finished, add all of the milk and nearly all of the cream, and blend

Serve in a bowl garnished with the rest of the cream in a swirl and some finely chopped chives.

How To Make Lentil Soup In A Soup Maker

This nutritious and filling soup will take 35 minutes in total that’s 5 minutes prep, and 30 minutes to cook.

Ingredients

To make lentil soup for 4 people you will need:

  • 3 ounces (75 g)  of red lentils
  • 3 carrots peeled and chopped
  • 1 medium leek washed and sliced
  • 1 ⅓ pint (750 ml) vegetable or ham stock

Method

Place all of the ingredients into the soup maker

Select the chunky function

Once finished serve in bowls and garnish with finely chopped parsley.

How To Make Broccoli And Stilton Soup In A Soup Maker

This delicious soup will take 30 minutes to cook and 5 minutes to prepare.

Ingredients

To make broccoli and stilton soup for 4 you will need:

  • 1 broccoli head washed and chopped
  • 1 medium onion peeled and chopped
  • 1 leek washed and sliced
  • 1 stick of celery chopped
  • 1 medium potato peeled and cubed
  • 5 ounces (140 g) of stilton
  • 1 ⅓ pint (750 ml) vegetable or chicken stock

Method

Put everything but the stilton into the soup maker

Select the smooth function

Once finished, add most of the stilton and stir

Blend until the cheese has melted

Serve with the rest of the stilton crumbled on top of the soup

How To Make Pea And Ham Soup In A Soup Maker

This traditional classic soup will take 30 minutes of cooking time and 5 minutes to prepare.

Ingredients

To serve 4 people you will need:

  • 1 medium potato peeled and diced
  • 1 medium onion peeled and chopped
  • 1lb (454 g) frozen peas
  • 10 ounces (300 g) lean ham thickly sliced and then diced
  • 1 ¾  pint ( 1 litre) vegetable or ham stock

Method

Place everything except the ham into the soup maker

Select the smooth function

Once finished season to taste and add the ham

Stir and serve.

How To Make Roasted Butternut Soup In A Soup Maker

To start this one, roast 1lb (454 g) of cubed butternut squash in an oven at 200 C/gas mark 6, sprinkle olive oil lightly over the butternut and roast for 30 minutes. Once the butternut is cooked the soup will take 35 minutes to make that’s 30 minutes to cook and 5 minutes prep.

Ingredients

To serve 2 you will need:

  • 1lb (454 g) roasted butternut squash
  • 1 clove of garlic peeled and sliced thinly
  • 1 medium onion peeled and diced
  • 1 red chilli finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of creme fraiche
  • 14 fluid ounces (400ml) vegetable stock

Method

Place all of the ingredients into the soup maker with the exception of the creme fraiche and a small amount of red chilli

Select the smooth function

Once finished add the creme fraiche and blend until the soup is creamy.

Serve in bowls with a swirl of creme fraiche and the remaining chopped chilli pieces.

Wherever we’ve used single cream, double cream, whipping cream or creme fraiche one can be used in place of another depending on what you have available and of course your personal preference.

Always remember to only fill to the fill level on your soup maker. If you overfill the soup maker it will not function because soup makers have a built-in safety cut out for overfilling. 

Always give your finished soups a taste test before serving and season to taste.
