How To Make Air Fryer Nachos
This first recipe shows how to make a nacho meal in the air fryer in less than 20 minutes.
Ingredients
- 225g (½ lb) Minced Beef
- 85g (3 ounces) Tortilla Chips
- 170g (6 ounces) Grated Cheddar Cheese
- 1 tablespoon Taco Seasoning
Method
- Place the minced beef in a pan and cook for around 5 minutes or until it is browned
- Drain the fat from the pan
- Add ¼ cup of water and the taco seasoning and stir
- Cook for 5 minutes or until the liquid has reduced
- Remove the pan from the stove
- Line the inside of the air fryer basket loosely with aluminium foil
- Place a single layer of tortilla chips on top of the foil in the bottom of the basket
- Add a thin layer of grated cheese then top with seasoned minced beef
- Add another layer of tortilla chips and repeat the layering process
- Air fry at 180 C (350 F) for 3 to 5 minutes or until the cheese is fully melted
- Remove the nacho from the air fryer basket
- Serve
Air Fried Nachos Cooking Tips
- Nachos are done when all of the cheese has melted
- If the middle layer of cheese hasn’t melted air fry for a further minute or two
- All air fryers are different so cooking times are approximate
- You can use any minced meat for this recipe (beef, turkey, pork, chicken)
- You can add any toppings you prefer for instance;
- Jalapeno Peppers
- Bell Peppers
- Onions
- Olives
- Tomatoes
- Serve with your favourite sauce
- We used cheddar cheese, but any hard cheese can be used
How To Make Easy Nachos In An Air Fryer
These easy nachos can be made in less than 5 minutes and make a great snack. We used foil trays to save on mess and make the nachos easy to serve.
- Aluminium Foil Containers with Lids
- Size 6a: 20cm x 11cm x 5.5cm
Ingredients
- 85g (3 ounces) Tortilla Chips
- 170g (6 ounces) Grated Cheddar Cheese
- 200g (7 ounces) Salsa
Method
- Place a layer of tortilla chips in the foil tray
- Top with salsa and grated cheese
- Add another layer of each ending with grated cheese
- Place the foil tray in the air fryer basket
- Air fry at 200 C (400 F) for 2 minutes
- Open the basket and check. If the cheese is fully melted, it’s done
- If not air fry for a further minute or two or until the cheese is all melted
- Remove from the air fryer
- Serve

Can You Reheat Nachos In An Air Fryer?
You can reheat nachos in an air fryer as long as you remove all of the cold toppings (salsa, sour cream, guacamole) first.
Then spray the air fryer basket with oil to prevent the nacho from sticking. Then just place the nacho in the air fryer basket and cook for 6 minutes at 180 C (350 F).
