How To Make Soup In An Air Fryer
This recipe can be adapted to use whichever ingredients you have to hand. Which means you can always make seasonal soups whatever the time of year.
Ingredients
- 2 large Carrots (peeled and sliced)
- 2 Peppers (deseeded and chopped)
- 1 large Onion (peeled and cut into quarters)
- 4 cloves Garlic (Peeled and crushed)
- 2 large Tomatoes (cut in half)
- 946ml (4 cups) Stock
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- ½ tablespoon Dried oregano
- ½ tablespoon Dried Thyme
- ½ teaspoon Paprika
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- ½ teaspoon Salt
Method
- Preheat the air fryer to 200 C (400 F)
- Place the carrots, onion, garlic, oregano, thyme,paprika, salt and sugar in a large bowl
- Add the oil and toss until everything is coated
- Place the vegetables in the air fryer basket
- Place the tomato halves on top
- Air fry for 10 minutes
- Stir and cook for a further 10 minutes
- Place the stock in a pan and heat on the stove top
- Once the vegetables are cooked tender, place in a blender along with the heated stock
- Blend on high power until the soup is smooth (around 1 minute)
- Serve

- You can use any vegetables you have at hand
- We used olive oil but you can use any cooking oil
- You could use any herbs or spices you prefer
- You can use beef stock, chicken stock or vegetable stock
- Cooking times are for guidance only as all air fryers are different
- You might need to add extra seasoning to taste
How To Make Air Fryer Cream Of Tomato Soup

This tasty, hearty soup is great at any time of year.
Ingredients
- 6 large Tomatoes (halved)
- 1 medium Onion (peeled and quartered)
- 6 cloves Garlic (peeled)
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 375ml (1 ½ cups) Stock
- 2 teaspoons dried Basil
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- 62ml (¼ cup) Double Cream
- 32g (¼ cup) Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
Method
- Preheat the air fryer to 200 C (400 F)
- Place the tomatoes cut side up in the basket along with the onion and garlic
- Spray with oil and sprinkle with salt and sugar
- Air fry for 20 to 30 minutes or until the vegetables have softened
- Remove the skins from the tomatoes
- Place the onions, garlic, tomatoes, and basil in a blender
- Blend on high until all the ingredients are smooth
- Pour the blended vegetables into a large saucepan
- Add the stock, cream, parmesan cheese and garlic powder
- Heat thoroughly stirring constantly
- Serve
Air Fryer Cream Of Tomato Soup Cooking Tips
- We used double cream but you can use whipping cream if you prefer
- We used olive oil but any cooking oil will work
- You can substitute any cheese you prefer as long as it will melt into the liquid
- Take care to not let the bottom of the pan burn
- Allow the tomatoes to cool slightly before removing the skins
- You can use fresh basil or dried
- Add seasonings to taste
Can You Heat Up Tinned Soup In An Air Fryer?
It is possible to heat up canned soup in an air fryer.
Ingredients
- 1 can of Soup
Method
- Open the can of soup and pour the contents into a suitable air fryer proof container
- Seal the top using aluminium foil
- Place the container in the air fryer basket ensuring it does not block all of the perforations in the basket
- AIr fry at 200 C (400 F) for 5 minutes
- Carefully remove the foil
- Serve
Air Fryer Canned Soup Cooking Tips
- You can use any oven safe container that doesn’t block too many perforations in the air fryer basket
- Ensure the foil completely covers the container and is secure
- Cooking times may vary depending on the make and model of air fryer you own
- Never place an unopened can of soup in an air fryer
