Ingredients

  • 235ml (1 cup) Greek Yogurt
  • 250g (1 cup) Self Raising Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 200 C (400 F)
  2. Place the Greek yogurt and self raising flour in a large bowl and mix
  3. Place the dough onto a floured surface and cut into 4 equal sized pieces
  4. Roll each piece into a flat circle
  5. Spray the air fryer basket with oil
  6. Place the flattened dough circle in the basket 
  7. Air fry for 10 minutes at 200 C (400 F)
  8. Turn the bread over
  9. Cook for a further 10 minutes or until both sides are golden brown
  10. Serve

Easy Air Fryer Naan Bread Cooking Tips 

  • Ensure you use authentic Greek yogurt because regular yogurt isn’t thick enough and will not work
  • Remember to spray the air fryer basket with oil to prevent sticking

How To Make Naan Bread From Scratch In An Air Fryer

This recipe takes longer because you need to allow the yeast to work its magic.

Ingredients

  • 500g (2 cups) Plain Flour
  • 60ml ¼ cup Warm Water
  • 30ml (⅛ cup) Oil
  • 30ml (⅛ cup) Warm Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Greek Yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon of Dried Active Yeast
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Baking Powder

Method

  1. Place the flour and all other dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix thoroughly
  2. Add the milk, water, yogurt and oil and mix
  3. Add more warm water until the dough forms
  4. Knead for around 2 minutes
  5. Cover the bowl with cling film until the dough doubles in size
  6. Lightly oil your hands and remove the dough from the bowl and knead it once again
  7. Divide the dough into 4 
  8. On a floured board roll out each piece of dough into a flat circle
  9. Preheat the air fryer to 200 C (400 F)
  10. Prick the dough circle with a fork
  11. Place in the air fryer basket and air fry for 3 minutes
  12. Turn the naan bread over and cook for a further 3 minutes
  13. Serve
