How To Set Up And Use A Foot Spa Machine

Nothing could be simpler to set up than a foot spa, just follow our 10 step guide

  1.  Just place the foot spa on a towel
    Placing the foot spa onto a towel you will prevent the floor from getting wet. Fill with warm water to the fill level.
  2. Plug the foot spa in
    Connect the foot spa to the electricity supply and turn the plug on.
  3. Allow the water to reach desired temperature
    Check the temperature of the water and when it reaches a comfortable heat it’s time to soak your feet.
  4. Add any aromatherapy oils, or Epsom salts
    If you are using aromatherapy oils add them now, be careful not to use too much. Also Epsom salts is a great muscle rejuvenator that can be added now too.
  5. Gently place your feet into the foot spa
    Be careful not to cause a splash as you plunge your feet under the water.
  6. Turn on any desired functions
    Add bubbles, jet spray, vibration etc
  7. Allow your feet to soak
    Give your feet around 20 minutes soaking to obtain the greatest results.
  8. Remove feet from the foot spa
    Take your feet out of the foot spa one at a time and dry with a towel.
  9. Switch off the foot spa
    Remove the plug and switch off the foot spa.
  10. Empty the water away
    Remove all of the water from the foot spa and rinse the foot spa ready for next time.

Different conditions can be improved if you add different ingredients to the foot spa. 

What To Put In The Foot Spa For Dry Feet

If you have particularly dry skin, try adding a few tablespoons of either jojoba oil or coconut oil to the water.

What To Add To The Foot Spa For Aching Feet 

If your feet are aching add ¾ of a cup of Epsom salts to the water and why not try 6 drops of lavender essential oils as well.

What To Add To The Foot Spa For Itchy Feet

This remedy is suggested by the National Eczema Association, but can be used even if you don’t have eczema you can still reap the benefits. Add ½ cup of baking soda to the water.

Antifungal Foot Soak Mix

To help discourage fungal infections in the feet and nails add 4 drops of tea tree oil, ¼ cup of baking soda, 2 drops of lemon essential oil, 1 tablespoon of oil like jojoba or coconut.

It’s probably not a good idea to soak your feet in a foot spa until they start to shrivel up. But apart from that you can use the foot spa for as long as you feel comfortable using it.
