- 2 Uncrustables
Method
- Preheat the air fryer to 180 C (350 F)
- Spray the basket with a little oil
- Brush each side of the uncrustable with butter or oil
- Put the frozen uncrustables in the air fryer basket ensuring there is space between each one
- Air fry for 5 minutes
- Turn the uncrustables over
- Cook for a further 2 to 3 minutes
- Check they’re cooked by piercing with a fork or toothpick to check if the filling is hot
- If not add one or two minutes to the cooking time
- When done, remove from the air fryer
- Allow to cool for 5 to 10 minutes
- Serve

- Cooking times are purely for guidance because all air fryers are different
- Always allow time for the filling to cool before serving because air fryers use extreme heat to cook food
- You can cook more than two at a time if your air fryer basket is large enough, but you’ll need to add an extra 1.5 minutes for each extra uncrustable over and above two
- Never overcrowd the air fryer basket, always ensure there is a gap between each uncrustable before cooking
- Always preheat the air fryer before cooking to ensure the uncrustables cook evenly

How To Cook Homemade Uncrustables In An Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 2 slices of Bread
- 1 tablespoon Peanut Butter
- 1 tablespoon Strawberry Jam
Method
- Place 2 slices of bread on a worktop
- Roll the bread out with a rolling pin
- Use a cup or pastry cutter to cut a circle in the centre of each slice of bread
- Spread the peanut butter on one slice
- Spread the jam on top of the peanut butter
- Place the second slice of bread on top
- Press down the edges of the bread using a finger
- Then seal the edges by crimping, using a fork
- Preheat the air fryer to 180 C (350 F)
- Spray the basket with oil
- Place the uncrustables in the air fryer basket ensuring there is space around each one
- Air fry for 2 minutes
- Turn the uncrustables over
- Cook for a further one minute
- Allow to cool
- Serve

Can You Freeze Homemade Uncrustables?
You can freeze homemade uncrustables. If you have a spare 10 minutes or so, make a large batch of homemade uncrustables as shown above. Then place them in freezer bags or freezer safe containers.
